Danbury Mint
danbury mint vs us mint?

I ordered the uncirculated presidential dollar rolls from the danbury mint and the 24kt Gold-Layered State Quarters, but, I am now wondering if I should have ordered them from the US mint instead. I am looking for a return investment years down the road. Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated, I can still cancel, so please if I have made a bad investment let me know...Thanks

The Danbury mint is a private mint where the U.S. mint is the only mint that can strike coins for the United States. The latter, the U.S. mint, does not issue any gold plated coins. Gold plated modern coins are considered a novelty by the coin collecting community and are considered damaged coins. They are a poor choice for investment. that is not to say 100 years from now they may have value but will not in the foreseeable future. Before investing in coins or anything else one must do some home work first. I have done well over the years due to I am a collector first and an investor last. The latest dollar coins are available from banks at no extra charge.
